Basic Trip Cancellation Insurance

The Patriot T.R.I.P. plan helps protect you from losing the money you've spent to travel. Patriot T.R.I.P. gives you protection if you are unexpectedly unable to travel or are interrupted during your trip due to unforeseen circumstances.

Important Note: A "covered trip" is any travel and sojourn to a destination more than 120 miles from the starting point of the covered trip and not exceeding 30 consecutive days.

Patriot T.R.I.P. provides protection to travelers who are unable to travel or are interrupted during their trips due to circumstances such as illness or injury, jury duty, job layoff, terrorism or the financial default of the tour operator, cruise line or airline. In addition, you can be covered for travel delays, baggage delays, emergency medical treatment and medical evacuation while you are away from home.

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. A pre-existing condition is defined as any injury, illness, sickness, disease, or other physical, medical, mental or nervous condition, disorder or ailment that, with reasonable medical certainty, existed at the time of application or at any time during the three years prior to the effective date of the insurance, whether or not previously manifested or symptomatic, diagnosed, treated, or disclosed prior to the effective date, including any subsequent, chronic or recurring complications or consequences related thereto or arising therefrom.

The Patriot T.R.I.P. Plan Costs are based on your age when you order the policy and a percentage of your prepaid non-refundable trip cost. Multiply your prepaid non-refundable trip cost by the following factors:

Ages 50 - 59 = 5.49%
Ages 60 - 69 = 6.98%
Ages 70+ = 10.15%
